Where are Core Smart classes held?
Depending on staff numbers classes can be held onsite at your office, or in nearby green spaces within the City of Sydney.
How long are classes?
Group fitness classes run for 45 minutes and our guided meditation sessions are 30 minutes.
Why is core strength important?
The core is a term used to describe just about everything on our body that isn't our legs and arms. It includes the muscles of the glutes, hips, pelvic floor, and scapula. Core exercises train these muscles to work in harmony to improve balance and stability, and help prevent injuries.
How many times should we train each week?
For overall health and fitness three days should focus on strength training, two days on cardio, and two should be active rest. Training our core muscles is an essential part of overall fitness, but like all muscles they need an opportunity to repair and rebuild after a workout. Core exercises should be performed three days per week with at least a day of rest between sessions.
Why is it important to vary our training?
It is important to include strength, cardio and flexibility training to our weekly workout. The ratio of these three workouts will vary depending on individual goals, however, a good program would include some sort of cardio 5 days per week for a minimum of 30 minutes each session, strength workouts at least 3 times per week for 20 minutes minimum and flexibility exercises at least twice per week.
What benefits do we receive through meditation?
Establishing a regular meditation practice doesn't need to challenging, 20 minutes a day is great! The benefits include improving emotional wellbeing: lesson anxiety, stress and depression; increase mental strength: memory retention, creative thinking and problem solving; and, to create a healthier body: improve the immune system, energy levels and reduce blood pressure.
